BREEDING MEANS SHARING.

Because breeding is not only about developing great cow families within your own herd. It is also about sharing those genetics, giving them the chance to develop elsewhere – and seeing what other breeders make of them.

A great example comes from the Meier’s Holstein Sale.

Genetics from the well-known Misty family were sold through the sale and found their way to TGD-Holstein. Today, one of the results is TGD-Holstein MONSET – a Hadley son out of TGD-Holstein Gameday MISSISIPP VG-88 (MS 90).

His maternal line goes back through Meier’s Etymology MINERVA G+84 to Meier’s Casper MISTY VG-89 (MS 92) and continues through generations of VG and EX cows.

MONSET is currently the highest Swiss bull in ISET without ET and combines moderate stature (102) with impressive chest width (115). His udder profile stands out with an udder score of 129, including 129 for fore udder attachment, 132 for rear udder height and 135 for rear udder width. He also offers high fertility (118) and BCS (111).

The Misty family has already produced several bulls – and MONSET adds another chapter to its story.

Another few impressions from the past days on the road for the European Sale at Cremona!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the farms and breeders who welcomed us so warmly and gave us the chance to see and select from their very best animals. We truly appreciate the trust, the hospitality and the opportunity to discover so many exciting individuals.

A special thank you goes to Daniele Galbardi for the great cooperation throughout the selection tour. It has been a pleasure working together and visiting so many great herds along the way.
